    Events Coming Up

    Wednesday, 1st September

Meditational prayer in church at 7.30pm. This week there will be incense so be careful if you have a bad chest.

    Sunday, 5th September

We will be praying for the nations of Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, the Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia next Sunday. If you have any souvenirs, pictures or products from those countries please bring them to church.

This week we are praying for the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia.

    Saturday, 11th September

From 2pm to 4pm we will be decorating prayer pebbles in the Rectory as gifts for new students. Please come along at any point and unleash your creative talents.

    Saturday Sunday, 19th September

The 10am service will be followed by a ploughman’s lunch in the Rectory to mark Harvest Festival. (Please sign up on the list in the porch so we know how many to cater for.) There will be a special harvest evening prayer with hymns at 4pm. This year St Laurence’s is collecting long life food stuffs for the Uxbridge Food Bank. Please make sure that products have at least six months to run on them. There will also be a retiring collection for Farm Africa.

    Sunday, 3rd October

We will have a tidy up in the churchyard from 1pm to 3pm followed by tea in the Rectory. You are welcome to join us at any point during that time.

    Saturday, 27th November

It’s Christmas Fayre time again! If you’re interested in helping please let Father Steve know.

Late Summer magazine: copies are now available at the back of church. This is Claire’s last edition as magazine editor because she has decided to focus on other opportunities at St Laurence’s. If you have articles for the magazine please give them to Clare (note the different spelling!) the church’s administrator. Claire will still be doing the monthly newsletter.
